Job summary
Are you ready to use your administrative and organisational skills in a way that makes a positive impact on peoples lives? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a member of our Corporate & Health Records team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We are looking to recruit a permanent Health Records Supervisor.
Reporting to the Administration Manager your role will be to support a team of clerical staff in transforming the health records service from a predominantly paper-based service towards a comprehensive electronic based health record (EHR).
This involves day to day staff management, rota coordination, generating reports, support with attendance management, appraisals and 1:1 wellbeing conversations. Applicants should have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills as well as been competent in the use of Microsoft office packages.
Previous administrative experience is also required, however full training will be given with an induction period. Main duties of the job Literate and numerate (GCSEs or equivalent) Previous clerical experience IT and computer literate I.E.
Competent within the use of spreadsheet/excel databases Experience of dealing with patients/customers in a professional setting Commitment to creating and sustaining good working relationships with clinical and managerial staff at all levels in the Trust.
Demonstrates high level of flexibility within their work, the ability to learn quickly and to multi-task Able to communicate effectively with users at all levels and from all backgrounds Have a responsible approach to problems showing initiative and taking control of situations when appropriate before they get out of hand Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and lead teams through change processes Respect and treat with dignity and fairness staff, patients, public and carers.
