About the role
Job DescriptionAs this post is part-time. the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
We are seeking a caring, motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Care Officer within Queens Quay House Care Home.
The successful candidate will support in the delivery, development and continuous improvement of high-quality care services for older adults.Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will provide a high standard of person-centred care and support that reflects the individual needs, preferences and wishes of our residents. You will assist with the day-to-day operation of the care home, ensuring residents receive compassionate, dignified and effective care in a safe and supportive environment.The role includes providing personal care and practical support to residents, working under the guidance of the Care Co-ordinators and senior staff. You will contribute to a holistic approach to care through effective partnership working with NHS colleagues, local authority services, and voluntary and independent sector organisations, supporting positive outcomes for older adults, including those living with dementia.You will be responsible for carrying out assessments, developing and maintaining personalised care and support plans, and regularly reviewing residents' needs to ensure care remains responsive and appropriate.
The successful candidate will also be required to administer medication in accordance with the home's medication policies and procedures, using the electronic medication administration record (EMAR) system and operating at SOP Level 2.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and promoting the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of older people.
RequirementsThis post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
