The opportunity

Opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex business and technology initiatives that make a tangible difference to the way UAL services work.

Working within Digital & Technology, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams to take initiatives from definition through to successful delivery. You’ll establish scope, outcomes and delivery approaches, manage priorities, budgets, risks and dependencies, and bring together colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders from across the University. Whether the right approach is Agile, Waterfall or a combination of methods, you’ll provide the structure, leadership and momentum needed to deliver change effectively.

You’ll also help ensure that change is sustainable. From understanding user requirements and managing implementation through to transitioning new capabilities into business-as-usual, you’ll keep the needs of users at the heart of delivery while contributing to the continuous improvement of UAL’s products and services.

Your profile

About you

  • You’ll be an experienced delivery or project management professional who is confident leading complex initiatives and bringing together cross-functional teams. You’ll know how to turn objectives into clear plans, manage resources effectively and keep delivery on track when priorities, risks or dependencies change.
  • A strong communicator and collaborative leader, you’ll be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, internal teams, external suppliers and consultants. You’ll be able to adapt your communication for different audiences, motivate others around shared objectives and create constructive working relationships across organisational boundaries.
  • You’ll also bring a practical, user-focused approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. A project management qualification is essential, ideally with experience or accreditation in Agile delivery, APM, Scrum or PRINCE2 methodologies.
  • If you’re looking for an opportunity to lead meaningful digital and organisational change within a complex, creative university environment, we’d like to hear from you.
