• What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Managing daily site operations, including labour scheduling, material coordination and equipment deployment
• Supervising site teams and subcontractors to ensure work meets quality, safety and programme standards
• Conducting toolbox talks, site inductions and safety briefings in line with SMSTS and health and safety requirements
• Monitoring site progress against the programme and reporting status to the project manager
• Maintaining site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets and compliance records
• Implementing and enforcing site safety protocols, including incident reporting and corrective actions
• Liaising with clients, architects and other stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve issues
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, planning conditions and site-specific requirements
• What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Construction Supervisor on medium to large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice in construction
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing subcontractor teams
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with site documentation and basic IT systems
• First Aid at Work certification (desirable)
• Driving licence and willingness to travel within London
