• Are you are passionate content creator with an interest in Community work? Would you like to develop your
• skills across various social media platforms and gain valuable experience in local governance supporting a
• community-led statutory body? If so, then The Queen’s Park Community Council (QPCC) has an exciting
• opportunity for you to join our small team and be part of our mission to improve health, wellbeing and

quality of life in one of London’s more economically marginalised communities.

As a Social Media Volunteer you will play a vital role in communications and online community engagement,

with responsibilities that include:

• Creating, developing and scheduling content across various social media platforms
• Responding to comments, messages and building a positive online community
• Supporting Election Campaign digitally
• Capturing, editing photos and video footage
• Supporting the team with promotional activities

As a member of our volunteer team, you’ll also have:

• Opportunities to meet and work with a diversity of people—developing cross-cultural and inter-

generations relationships

• Access training, support and learn new skills and experiences for employment and education
• Develop your knowledge of a local area with an incredible history and contribute to its future

• Time Commitment and Location
• As a Social Media Coordinator Volunteer, you will be asked to commit to supporting the team at least 4-7
• hours per week at our office in the Beethoven Centre, Queen’s Park. All our events and activities are local to

the Queen’s Park area and are within a 15 minute walk from our office.

• Expenses
• QPCC recognise the importance that volunteers are not left out of pocket and has a comprehensive expense
• policy to ensure you are never out of pocket when volunteering. This includes covering travel costs and
