- Are you a confident communicator with a passion for social change? Would you like to support local
- democracy through outreach work and be part of our mission to improve health, wellbeing and quality of life
- in one of London’s more economically marginalised communities? If so, then the Queen’s Park Community
Council (QPCC) has an exciting opportunity for you.
As a Community Outreach Volunteer you will play a crucial role interlinking local residents with QPCC, with
responsibilities that include:
- Door knocking and community-based outreach activities
- Engage and connect with community members to understand their needs
- Inform, educate and share information about QPCC and the upcoming election
- Identify specific target groups within the local community
- Build rapport and relationships with local residents
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local organisations, schools and businesses
- Record keeping and data collection
As a member of our volunteer team, you’ll also have:
- Opportunities to meet and work with a diversity of people developing cross-cultural and inter-
generations relationships
- Access training, support and learn new skills and experiences for employment and education
- Develop your knowledge of a local area with an incredible history and contribute to its future

Time Commitment and Location
As a Community Outreach Volunteer, you will be asked to support the team 4 -7 hours on Saturday or Sunday.
All our events and activities are local to the Queen’s Park area and are within a 15 minute walk from our office.
- Expenses
- QPCC recognise the importance that volunteers are not left out of pocket and has a comprehensive expense
- policy to ensure you are never out of pocket when volunteering. This includes covering travel costs and lunch
