About the role
An exciting opportunity to join London’s leading, award winning printing company. You will be part of a friendly team. Park is a company of 90 people that produces high-end books, annual reports, indie magazines and brochures. Manufacturing is almost entirely in-house in a factory using the very latest technology. Park is a member of the successful Graphius Group headquartered in Belgium.
As a Laser/Digital Operator you will be responsible for:
- Setting and operating Post press equipment
- Receiving specifications for jobs to be processed
- Make sure that all components are ready for finishing and are finished to meet the following process specifications
- Providing maintenance of equipment
- Check all jobs for accuracy against job bags
- Ensuring output is to high standards of quality
- Quality checks during/completion of each job
- Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
Key Skills required:
- Previous experience operating all or some of the following Finishing assets
- MBO/Stahl folders
- Kolbus Binder
- Muller Primera
- Polar guillotines
- At least 2 years of current experience in a post press/Finisher role
- Demonstrated experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining Bindery assets is essential
- Familiarity with the processes involved in printed mailing production is highly desirable
- Possesses a strong technical grasp of the print production workflow and finishing techniques including cutting, folding, binding
- Professionalism and punctuality
- Previous experience in a Litho print production environment
Hours:
37.75 hours a week Monday – Friday Double day shift, early finish on Friday's
