Are you passionate about data quality, mapping and helping deliver vital services to residents and businesses?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Highways team as an LLPG & LSG Custodian, playing a key role in maintaining the Council's Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and Local Street Gazetteer (LSG). You will be responsible for managing street and property data, supporting street naming and numbering processes, ensuring compliance with national standards, and working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for an organised and detail-focused individual with experience of GIS, mapping or land and property databases, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data. Knowledge of addressing, street gazetteers and GeoPlace standards would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the Council's Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and Local Street Gazetteer (LSG), ensuring data is accurate, up to date and compliant with national standards
Manage street naming and numbering activities, creating and maintaining official property and street records for the city
Ensure compliance with GeoPlace requirements, Ordnance Survey standards and the Council's Data Cooperation Agreement obligations
Monitor, validate and improve the quality of street and property data, identifying and resolving discrepancies where required
Work collaboratively with internal services, developers, utility companies and external partners, acting as the Council's lead contact for addressing and gazetteer matters
Support the integration and effective use of gazetteer data across Council systems, providing advice, guidance and training to colleagues where appropriate
About You:
Experience working with GIS, mapping, street, land or property database systems, with the ability to manage and maintain accurate data records
Knowledge of addressing processes, street naming and numbering, and an understanding of national standards such as BS7666and GeoPlace requirements
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret plans, maps and complex land or property information accurately
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work methodically whilst managing competing priorities
A proactive team player with strong IT skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality services, and the ability to work independently when required
