About the role
Please note this post is a term time, 10 hours per week.
We have an exciting role on offer within our Integrated Transport Unit as a Passenger Assistant.
A Passenger Assistant is employed to accompany both vulnerable children and adults on their journey between home and school/education setting or to enable them to access other day services. You will be expected to work across all areas to meet service demands.
Passenger Assistants are the link between parents/carers and the service provider staff and represent Middlesbrough Council. They are there to ensure passengers safety and wellbeing and ensure their transport is a comfortable and happy environment.
We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.
Statutory training is given to all Passenger Assistants such as first aid; manual handling etc. Specific training is available to Passenger Assistants dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for.
