Area Organisers x 2

Have you ever thought about working for UNISON, the largest public sector union in the UK. You need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our growing organisation.

The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role and be able to develop and deliver recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns, train and develop stewards, undertake case work, advise, support and mentor branch officers and stewards in representation and negotiation.

We’re looking for committed, self-motivated individuals who are passionate about strengthening the trade union movement.

To succeed, you’ll need excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills both face to face and on paper. A sound understanding of the trade union movement and their objectives is essential and the flexibility to travel within the region. Occasional travel to London may also be required for training or meetings. You will be required to live within reasonable travelling distance of the area you are asked to cover.
