Are you looking for a part-time role working with children, where every day is a little different?

At Barleylands Farm Day Nursery, children get to learn, explore and play in a truly unique environment. Based at the award-winning Barleylands Farm in Billericay, our 96-place nursery offers nature-based play, outdoor learning and a child-led approach where children are encouraged to follow their curiosity.

We're looking for a friendly, caring and reliable Lunchtime Assistant to join our team and help make lunchtime a happy, positive part of the children's day.

Your Working Pattern

Monday to Friday - 11:00am–3:00pm

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a regular part-time role that fits around other commitments.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide valuable support to our nursery team during the lunchtime period, including:

✔ Helping to prepare and serve children's meals.

✔ Supporting children during mealtimes and helping where needed.

✔ Encouraging positive mealtime experiences.

✔ Cleaning and tidying dining and food preparation areas.

✔ Supporting colleagues across the nursery when required.

✔ Helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for the children.

Most importantly, you'll help ensure our children are well cared for, happy and supported throughout their lunchtime.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

✔ Caring, friendly and enthusiastic.

✔ Passionate about working with children.

✔ Reliable and responsible.

✔ A good team player.

✔ Experienced in childcare, ideally within a nursery setting.

✔ Ideally qualified to Level 2 or above in Early Years/Childcare.
