Navigating Post-Brexit Talent Acquisition Challenges

Reyansh Williams · 5d ago

We're seeing a 30% increase in recruitment costs since Brexit, and it's getting tougher to attract EU talent. I've spoken to several colleagues who're struggling to fill key roles, and we're worried it'll impact our Q3 sales targets. As someone who's worked on both sides of the recruitment process, I'm wondering what strategies we can use to adapt to these new regulations and find the best candidates, especially when we're competing with bigger corporations for the same pool of talent. Can we share some effective ways to streamline our hiring process and make our company more appealing to international candidates?

I've seen similar challenges at our company, where we've had to get creative with job ads on platforms like LinkedIn to reach a wider pool of candidates, and we've actually had some success with using tools like Workday to streamline our recruitment process, which has helped us fill around 20 key roles in the last 6 months. We've also started partnering with local universities to find fresh talent, and I think this approach could be worth exploring for others, as it's helped us reduce our time to hire by around 40 days.
