As procurement manager for a large UK-based manufacturer, and we have been experiencing significant disruptions to our supply chain due to the ongoing Brexit negotiations and changes to trade agreements. We do not have a clear understanding of how the new rules and tariffs will affect our business, and this uncertainty is causing frustration among our team. As someone who oversees the procurement process, I am struggling to find reliable suppliers who can meet our needs without incurring significant additional costs. I've been in similar situations during our company's restructures, and one thing that's helped me is creating a supplier scorecard to track performance and risk. We use a simple excel template to monitor things like lead times, quality ratings and compliance with new regulations, which has allowed us to identify and mitigate potential issues. By regularly reviewing this scorecard with our team, we've been able to make more informed decisions about who to work with and how to allocate our resources, which has been a big help in reducing uncertainty.

I've got to admit, we messed up our supplier audit last year and it's coming back to haunt us now, as we're having to redo all the contracts to comply with the new tariffs, which is costing us around 10k a month in extra admin fees.
