Handling Resignations Due to Four-Day Work Week Trials

We've been trialing a four-day work week for the past six months, and while it's been great for work-life balance, I am seeing a trend where some employees are resigning due to increased workload on their working days. I do not think we've fully considered the impact on certain roles, particularly in sales and business development where meetings and client interactions are often ad-hoc. As someone who's both an employee and an employer, I am struggling to understand how to mitigate this issue, so my question is, what strategies can we use to retain staff who are struggling with the compressed schedule. We have to find a solution that works for everyone, or we risk losing our top performers.
