Handling Resignations Due to Burnout from Excessive Meetings
Harrison Cho · 31 Jul 2026
Good people are handing in their notice, burnt out by excessive meetings, we have tried to reduce the number of meetings but it seems like new ones just keep getting added to the calendar. As someone who has been on both sides of the table, I do not know how to balance the need for collaboration with the need to protect employees' time and well-being. We have around 20% of our staff citing meeting fatigue as a reason for leaving, which is a huge concern for us. How do you prevent burnout from excessive meetings without stifling teamwork and communication?
