Director of Strategic Planning & Transformation at Notting Hill Genesis in London (Hybrid)

About the role

This is an opportunity for an outstanding transformation leader to make a real impact at genuine scale, at one of London's largest housing providers. Notting Hill Genesis has a turnover of more than £750m, more than 60,000 homes, and around 130,000 residents. It is both a major landlord and developer in one of the most complex housing markets in the country, with a purpose to build a fairer London where everyone has a place to call home.

NHG is clear that its core social purpose has not changed, but that the way it delivers its ambitions must continue to evolve. Backed by £1 billion of investment, it is focusing on five priorities: enhancing customer experience, delivering safe, quality homes, engaging its people, improving risk and governance, and financial strength and value for money. Following the Regulator of Social Housing's November 2024 judgement, NHG has been working through a detailed Regulatory Compliance Plan, addressing its risk and governance priority directly, with more than 80% of milestones now complete.

The Strategic Planning & Transformation Directorate was established to help refine and crystallise NHG's strategic goals, and has played a vital role in driving and evidencing the improvement and change achieved so far. NHG is now looking for an outstanding leader to oversee and inspire the Directorate's team and drive its high-profile work.

Reporting to the Chief Corporate and People Officer, you will be accountable for leading NHG's strategic planning and transformation agenda, working in collaboration with senior leaders to shape and direct the organisation's most critical strategic initiatives. With a team of 30, this Director will ensure those initiatives and programmes are aligned to strategic objectives and priorities, well designed, effectively governed, and delivered at pace, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and value for money that delivers real outcomes for residents.

We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of leading organisational transformation in a complex setting, and experience developing and delivering strategic plans and operating models. You will be capable of inspiring and influencing senior stakeholders, and a strategic thinker with a commitment to customer centric service design and continuous improvement. We welcome candidates from housing and other large, complex, regulated organisations.

At a time of significant investment, transformation and renewal, this role sits at the heart of NHG's ambition to deliver lasting improvement for residents while strengthening the organisation for the future.
