About the role

Woodlawn School is a fully inclusive school catering for pupils 2½ to 18 years with physical, medical, sensory needs and/or moderate learning difficulties.

We have a number of vacancies across all age phases. We have an increasing pupil role and require additional staff to support all areas of Teaching and Learning from September. There are opportunities from supporting in EYFS and Primary through to supporting Secondary and Post 16 pupils.

This role involves attending to the pupils’ personal needs and implementing related personal programmes including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters, as well as supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning.

It is essential that all school staff can successfully establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model, and being aware of, and responding appropriately to, individual needs. You will work under the direction of the class teacher and alongside other Teaching Assistants within the class.
