To work within our buildings and civil team in Glasgow, we are looking for an Engineer to join us. Working on a variety of building and civil engineering projects you’ll play a key role in the structural design and analysis of our projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering high-quality design work, under the supervision of our Senior Engineer while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction
  • Applying engineering principles & codes of practice to solve technical problems using a variety of structural materials including concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
  • Prepare and review calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and design reports, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Manage project tasks, coordinate with technicians to translate designs into construction drawings, and attend site visits (when required).
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project programme.
  • Ensure all work complies to quality, safety, environmental standards and CPD
  • Working on the full project delivery process including NEC Contracts.

On top of that, you’ll have:

  • An Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in a design office environment.
  • Career focused and committed to achieving chartership status with ICE or IStructE.
  • Proven ability to effectively use structural design software such as CADS, Tekla, SCIA, STRAP, TEDDS, Fastrack AUTO CAD, REVIT or other design software
  • Good working knowledge of UK design codes and standards.
  • Significant base of IT skills to include word, excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • A proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
