Job description
As Senior EUC Engineer, you will provide senior technical expertise across the EUC service. You will lead the engineering, operation and continual improvement of endpoint platforms and associated technologies, ensuring they remain secure, resilient and aligned with organisational needs.
You will design, implement and maintain endpoint solutions across Windows, iOS and Android, using technologies including Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. You will also lead endpoint security, patching, vulnerability remediation and compliance activity, working with Cyber Security and infrastructure colleagues to minimise risk.
A key part of the role will be owning the application lifecycle within the EUC environment, from packaging and testing through to deployment, updating and retirement. As a senior subject matter expert, you will lead complex technical investigations, develop automation and scripting solutions, contribute to projects, mentor colleagues, and help shape the EUC strategy and roadmap.
To succeed, you will bring strong experience of modern endpoint engineering across Windows, iOS and Android, including Intune, Autopilot and co-managed device estates. You will have expertise in endpoint security, patching, vulnerability management and compliance, alongside knowledge of Entra ID, Group Policy and hybrid identity. You will also be confident using PowerShell or other automation tools and communicating complex technical issues to varied audiences.

1) Modern Endpoint Engineering - Proven experience designing, implementing and supporting modern endpoint management solutions across Windows, iOS and Android environments, including technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and co-managed device estates (Lead Criteria) .
2) Endpoint Security, Patching and Compliance - Demonstrable experience engineering secure endpoint environments through effective use of security controls, patching, vulnerability management and compliance technologies, ensuring devices remain secure, supported and aligned with organisational standards (Lead Criteria) .
3) Microsoft Endpoint Infrastructure Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft endpoint technologies and supporting infrastructure, including Entra ID, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity, with experience supporting the transition from traditional (hybrid) to cloud-managed endpoint services.
4) Automation and Service Improvement Proven ability to use PowerShell and other automation tools to improve service reliability, reduce manual effort and drive continual improvement, supported by practical experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
5) Technical Leadership and Communication Proven ability to operate as a senior technical practitioner, providing expert advice, collaborating across teams, influencing stakeholders and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Selection process details

Application and sift stage
- As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV, personal statement and an online application form. Further details about application requirements are listed on the application form.
- The selection process will comprise of the sift (CV & application review), and an interview.
- Please note that it is essential that your personal statement is aligned to provide evidence that you have the knowledge and experience for each of the essential criteria (as included on the role profile attached and listed above under 'Person Specification') in your application. Your personal statement should be no more than 1250 words.
- An initial sift based on the first two criteria points (Lead Criteria) may be held if a large number of applications are received. If your application progresses to a full sift, all elements of the essential criteria listed under Person Specification will then be considered.
- We may raise the score required at sift stage to progress to interview if we receive a high number of applications and take through the highest performing candidates to the interview stage.
- Successful candidates at sift will be invited to an interview which will be conducted either in-person or via Teams.
Interview stage
- At the CMA we apply a blended interview technique, allowing us to find out more about you and we use the Success Profiles framework assessing the Behaviours, Experience (essential criteria) and Technical skills listed in the advert and attached role profile.
- The first part of the interview will comprise of a presentation based on the Technical elements outlined in the role profile, details of which you will sent with your interview invitation.
- The second part is an interview and will be a 45 minute-one hour panel interview where you will be asked questions based on the Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills outlined in the role profile.

At interview we will assess candidates’ ability to engineer secure, compliant endpoints using Intune, Autopilot, Defender, compliance baselines, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- A reserve list may be held for up to 12 months from which further appointments may be made for the same or similar roles.
Timeline (the dates outlined below are indicative and may be subject to change)
