About the role

Job summary

The Care Plus Group Patient and Events Medical Services has two discrete elements.

The safe transportation of medical well patients for the sole purpose of transporting individuals for discharge from hospital, or from community facilities for example, care home or home to hospice or attendance for Out-Patients Appointment.Provides a community response provision to falls that are criteria levels 1 and 2.

The second element is to provide event management services providing both First Aid support or Medical services for a range of events, including festivals, concerts sporting event and other community events.

We have a full team with a vast range of experience in successfully delivering medical cover at events across the country and our team ranges from First Responders up to Doctors and Practitioners. The service also supports with the delivery of training in relation to first response emergency care for internal and external participants.

Main duties of the job Job title: Bank Ambulance Technician Department: Patient and Events Medical Services Hours: Bank, as and when required Salary: Range 5 point 18 £30,285 pro rata, per annum. Fixed salary. An opportunity has arisen to join CPG in the role of Ambulance Technician for our Event and Patient Transport service.

You will: Be responsible for the assessment, treatment, diagnosis, and administering of medicines, managing, discharging and referring patients in a range of urgent, emergency and critical out of hospital settings, which may include but not limited to ambulances, single response vehicles (SRV.

Provide ad hoc training and supervision for junior staff ie first responders when on shift. Be responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety regulations and Road Traffic legislations are adhered to in relation to transportation and vehicle safety including using advanced driving skills under blue light for emergency response.

In return you will be part of a developing service in line with the wider emergency and urgent care agenda, have access to training and a flexible approach to work. You will receive ongoing support and development.

Qualifications
