An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Lifelink. This role will be situated within our venue in the north West of Glasgow and will provide reception cover and ensure all our venues across Lifelink have suitable reception cover. Lifelink is looking for a compassionate, organised and professional Receptionist & Volunteer Coordinator to help create a welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors, volunteers and partners accessing our counselling and wellbeing services.

This is an important front-of-house and coordination role, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our services across Lifelink venues. The successful candidate will provide a warm, efficient and confidential reception service while coordinating volunteer reception cover and helping to ensure our reception and waiting areas remain safe, welcoming and well-presented.

About us – Lifelink and Lifelink Workwell is a social enterprise with over 30 years of experience supporting adults and young people throughout Scotland, and UK wide workplaces, with their mental health and wellbeing. Our vision is that people are healthier and happier, wherever they live, work or learn.

At Lifelink, people and purpose are at the heart of everything we do. As our Receptionist & Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in supporting the operations team to ensure a welcoming front of house service. We are looking for someone who will reflect these values in every interaction and help people feel supported from the moment they arrive.

About the role - As Receptionist & Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering a professional and compassionate reception service, managing enquiries, welcoming clients and visitors, supporting appointment flow and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

You will also coordinate reception volunteers across Lifelink venues, including planning rotas, monitoring cover, supporting volunteer communication and helping to ensure each venue has the right support in place. Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and external visitors, you will play a key role in creating environments that are calm, inclusive, safe and welcoming.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience or understanding of front-of-house, reception or customer service work.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate people, rotas and resources across more than one location.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with clients, volunteers, colleagues and partners.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and safeguarding principles.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital administration systems.
  • A calm, empathetic and professional approach, particularly when supporting people who may be anxious or distressed.
  • A commitment to inclusion, community wellbeing and creating positive experiences for everyone who comes into contact with Lifelink.

Previous experience in volunteer coordination, administration, health, wellbeing or third-sector services would be welcome, but we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who share our values and can bring warmth, professionalism and strong organisational ability to the role.

Additional benefits include generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme (6% from employer), cash back health plan, life cover, holiday purchase scheme, and 2 wellbeing days (pro rated for par-time).

Interviews: These will be held week commencing 21 September 2026.
