About the role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Control Function Senior Analyst to join our team at SLC. As Senior Analyst, you will support the Control Function Managers in the development, implementation and embedding of SLC’s ERC Policy and Framework and demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the Enterprise Risk framework.

Job description

The role holder will ensure that the three directorates provide timely, complete and accurate risk management data, in turn providing timely, accurate and insightful risk reporting via risk governance. This will enable each directorate to demonstrate their adherence to regulatory / mandatory standards, and to the risk management framework. Reporting to the Senior Manager, CCF, the role holder will liaise with business area specialists and risk, governance and audit functions to monitor each directorate’s control effectiveness and provide 1LOD assurance.

Person specification

  • Excellent analytical, literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Self-motivated team player, with the ability to deliver against sometimes challenging deadlines.
  • Demonstrable communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders effectively.
  • Highly developed presentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality risk reports, dashboards and analysis.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, identifying potential solutions and discussing those solutions with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly understand and document business processes.
  • Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner.
