Senior Asset Manager at DUCHY OF CORNWALL in United Kingdom

About the role

The Duchy of Cornwall is a future focused organisation with an ambition to make positive and tangible impact in the places we operate in. We’re passionate about delivering transformative change through creating and supporting environmentally and financially sustainable communities and ecosystems.

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Asset Manager to play a key role in the strategic and operational management of our diverse property portfolio across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Spanning commercial, residential and mixed-use assets, this is an opportunity to maximise income and capital growth, drive long-term performance and help shape places that are vibrant, sustainable and successful.

Reporting to the Executive Director for Property, you’ll be leading the strategic asset management, leasing and operational stewardship of our retained portfolio. You’ll take a particular lead on Market Street and the wider retail and mixed-use development at Nansledan, alongside supporting acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant relationships, estate management and initiatives that enhance customer experience and placemaking.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Development, Community & Nature, Sustainability, Rural, Building Surveying, Strategic Land and Finance, as well as external advisors and a wide range of customers and stakeholders. You’ll bring a strong commercial and strategic mindset, with proven experience across leasing, asset management, financial planning and performance, alongside a sound understanding of property operations, landlord and tenant legislation, risk and compliance. An MRICS qualification and at least five years’ relevant experience are essential.

We’re looking for someone who combines commercial acumen with a genuine passion for creating great places. You’ll be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, confident working across disciplines and able to turn strategy into delivery. Experience of integrating sustainability and ESG into property strategy, and an understanding of placemaking, community-focused development or complex/heritage estates, would be highly valued.

So, if you’re an ambitious, collaborative property professional who wants to make a real difference to some of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly’s most significant places, we’d love to hear from you! Please visit our careers page for more information and to apply.

Closing date: 31st August 2026.

The Duchy of Cornwall is proud to promote a culture of wellbeing and equity. Through our recruitment process we aim to recruit the very best employees from varied cultural and social backgrounds, with a variety of skills & experiences.
