Role:
- Pensions Administrator Salary: £27,100 - £32,500 per annum depending on skills, knowledge, and experience Band: 1 Position type: TfL Permanent Location: Palestra ( Southwark -London) /Hybrid Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
Job Purpose
This role acts as the first point of contact in giving advice and guidance and supporting the administration of all pensions lifecycle events and transactions. Key
accountabilities
Responsible for delivering specialist pensions advice and administration service that supports the core services of the Pension Fund Office First point of contact for all pensions / pensions payroll issues or enquiries from members and management ensuring daily problems are resolved Using available technology effectively to access relevant pensions content to resolve customer issues Enter all data into the relevant pensions system in a timely, accurate and consistent manner and ensure that all documentation is maintained and stored within the data protection guidelines Responsible for actively monitoring and tracking own transactions to achieve efficiency and best value, managing workload through Work Manager and any other relevant system Continuously seek to identify ways to improve, challenging current practice and suggesting a better way, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction Escalate any problems or blocks to customer service Skills, Knowledge and Experience Knowledge The principles and practice of pensions and payroll administration Pensions Fund Administration Agreement Trust Deed and Rules External Developments and best practice in Pensions First level of understanding of the legal and tax law regarding Pensions First level of understanding of the legal and tax law regarding Finance Skills Applying pensions policies and procedures (PRACTITIONER) Service level agreements (ENTRY) Data entry and maintenance (ENTRY) Attention to detail (ENTRY) Case Management (ENTRY) Pensions Systems (PRACTITIONER) Application of Pension Fund Rules and Pensions legislation (ENTRY) Experience Experience of working towards strict deadlines Experience of handling sensitive and confidential matters Experience of using case management and pensions administration and payroll systems Experience of handling pensions enquiries Experience of communicating clearly and effectively with people from different backgrounds and at all levels Experience of administering final salary pension arrangements, current pensions legislation and its impacts on final salary pensions.
