About the role

We are looking for a Night Porter to help ensure our village remains safe, secure, and welcoming throughout the night. We are driven by a clear purpose: to build real communities that enhance the lives of our residents every single day.

As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth running of the village outside of daytime hours. You will be a reassuring presence for residents, respond to overnight requests, and help ensure the environment is clean, safe, and well prepared for the day ahead.

If you are reliable, approachable, and take pride in delivering excellent service, this is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a community-focused organisation where your contribution truly matters.

The Role:

Acting as the first point of contact during overnight emergencies, responding calmly and effectively

Carrying out regular patrols of the village, completing security, fire, and safety checks

Providing a welcoming presence for residents, guests, and visitors, offering assistance and information as needed

Answering queries about the village, its facilities, and services in a professional manner

Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of public areas throughout the night

Cleaning and maintaining the gym, pool, steam room, and changing rooms, including testing and recording pool chemical balances

Assisting with emergency situations, including first aid incidents and evacuations where required

Managing waste collection by moving bins to designated collection points

Ensuring the overall safety, security, and wellbeing of the building and its occupants throughout the night

Key Requirements

Demonstrable experience in handling situations calmly, confidently, and professionally, particularly in a customer-facing or safety-focused environment

Experience creating a welcoming, hospitable environment while consistently delivering excellent customer service

A qualification in Health & Safety, COSHH, First Aid, or a related area would be advantageous, though not essential

The Benefits

33 days annual leave, including bank holidays and pro-rated to your contracted hours

Holiday buying scheme, allowing up to an extra week of leave

Big birthdays off (those ending in a 0) to celebrate in style

Bupa Health Cash Plan, including access to an employee assistance program

Life Assurance at four times your annual salary

5% matched pension scheme to support your future

Access to SMART tech to make your work more efficient

Retail discounts across a wide range of outlets

Wellbeing hub and resources, including discounts on wellbeing interventions

Cycle to work scheme for active commuting

Electric car scheme for sustainable travel options

Access to a modern, inspiring workspace, with a gym, social areas, and parking, plus the option for hybrid working
