- Hours: 40 hours per week, including participation in a management on-call escalation rota
About the Role
As Repairs Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring repairs and maintenance works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll provide day-to-day supervision and support to our in-house operatives and contractors, helping to ensure excellent customer service and quality outcomes for residents.
Working closely with the Repairs Manager, schedulers and other teams, you'll monitor productivity, inspect completed works, support operational planning and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day repairs, maintenance and associated works, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, within agreed timescales
- Monitor the progress, quality and productivity of repair works
- Identify and manage follow-on works, variations, defects and additional repair requirements, ensuring appropriate action is taken
- Work collaboratively with schedulers, operatives, contractors and the Repairs Manager to plan, prioritise and coordinate workloads
- Complete inspections, records, reports, certifications and supporting documentation accurately and within required timescales
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, company policies and safe systems of work
About You
We're looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with a strong customer focus and excellent leadership skills.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a construction trade OR substantial demonstrable experience in a core trade within property maintenance
- Strong understanding of repairs, and maintenance processes in housing or property management
- Understanding of customer care and complaints
- Experience in property maintenance, voids, or refurbishment work within a housing or construction environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic IT skills, including MS office packages
- Full UK drivers’ licence
