University College London Hospitals are on the lookout for a committed and qualified Senior Radiographer to join their highly skilled team. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures to a high standard and provide professional support to colleagues.

The post holder is required:

To perform a wide range of radiographic procedures across a variety of complex clinical presentations and pathologies, including CT scans to a required standard. To prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.

To ensure that all data inputs are accurately recorded in order to maintain the integrity of data for both patients and service. To provide professional support, supervision and assistance to qualified radiographers and other staff in service delivery and personal development.

To ensure professional practice, and that of the service, is maintained and extended through participation in Continuous Professional Development.

Person Specification

Experience Essential Evidence of relevant specialist post- degree or diploma courses for Continuing Professional Development Evidence of a range of post qualification clinical experience Evidence of significant experience to rotate between specialist areas Participation in quality assurance and clinical audit Evidence of ability to critically analyse complex and acute radiographs Evidence of participation in QA and maintenance of agreed standards Demonstrate awareness of responsibility to and advocacy for patients.

Very high personal and radiographic standards, with attention to detail Ability to work under pressure whilst subject to interruption Willingness to embrace new ideas and concepts Computer literacy Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and make decisions.

Evidence of experience in the supervision, training and assessment of students to required standard Good understanding of the legislation relating to the post Ability to wear radiation protective clothing at 0.35Pb equivalent for periods of up to 4 hours Ability to safely use a wide range of manual handling equipment as provided by the Trust

Qualifications
