About the role and the team
The Planning Support Administrator role is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with an attention to detail to gain experience in local government. With a wide range of responsibilities, the postholder will need to provide high quality customer service to residents and administrative support to colleagues including planning officers, planning enforcement, tree and ecology specialists.
The Planning Support team provides a wide range of services to Planning and includes other services such as Street Naming and Numbering, Land Charges, Geographic Information Systems and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
This is a temporary placement for up to 3 months to provide cover during the summer period whilst other colleagues may be on leave and due to higher than usual caseloads. It is expected that the successful candidate should be available for work during the majority of this summer period. What we are looking for from you
We are looking for someone to join our team who is enthusiastic about undertaking a varied range of administrative tasks within the Planning Support team.
You will provide a high level of customer service to residents and planning officers, be approachable and have good inter-personal skills. The role requires demonstrable interest in administrative work although previous experience is not required. You will be educated to GCSE level with passes in both Mathematics and English.
