In this role, you’ll be the friendly face behind the counter, assisting customers with their orders, preparing delicious baked goods, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, offering product recommendations when appropriate
• Prepare food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and other baked goods in accordance with food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including food preparation zones and display counters
• Manage cash register operations, handle transactions accurately, and give correct change
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all products are prepared and stored safely
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks, and product displays to keep the shop inviting and well-stocked
• Be trained to cash up tills / stock taking and key holder.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and preparation
• Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable attitude towards customers
• Ability to assist with food preparation tasks quickly and accurately
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory counts
• Excellent time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and serve customers effectively
