Kiddie Capers Childcare has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Rusbridge House, a charming and quirky building nestled at the end of Cliffe High Street in Lewes. Surrounded by a beautiful river, a nature reserve, and a local playground, our newest setting offers a truly inspiring environment for children to learn, play, and grow.

Hours & Pay

  • 36 hours, Monday-Friday (4 days)
  • £14.00-£14.95 per hour

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate care for every child and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Act as a key person, monitoring and recording children’s progress
  • Maintain up-to-date Learning Journeys and individual planning
  • Support personal care, hygiene, and mealtimes
  • Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and monitor child wellbeing
  • Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Encourage free flow play to support independence and confidence
  • Participate in training and ongoing professional development
